philosophy

Mindful Yoga & Meditation is a place for a holistic practice of yoga and meditation with a focus on applying what you learn to your everyday life. The studio holds a variety of semi private classes and retreats to expand your practice whether you are a beginner or have prior experience. We offer smaller sized classes and private sessions to encourage connections and individualized support. Retreats are offered on a yearly basis to give you the time and space to return to yourself again. When you walk into the studio space you'll feel a deep sense of community and the comfort of home. 


Heather McClelland opened Mindful Yoga & Meditation in January of 2018 with the help of her husband Kevin. The name was inspired by her own personal practice. When breaking down the literal meaning of vinyasa (a style Heather often practices and teaches) - to place in a special way - it reminds us to be mindful in every small movement the body makes as you move through postures. Each movement is taken with care and intent.

 

NURTURE

a three day virtual retreat

Nurture is defined as "care for and encourage the growth or development of," this virtual retreat will guide you to do just that for yourself within the comfort of your home.

CLASSES
PRIVATE SESSIONS

Mindful Yoga offers small group classes ranging from beginner to advanced. Our classes max out at a specific number of people so you won't ever feel like you are competing for space in the room. The size of our classes are also designed so the instructor can have their attention on each student and provide modifications if needed.

Private lessons are beneficial for anyone who is practicing yoga or meditation. It is especially wonderful for beginners who may not feel comfortable enough to take a class yet or for those who have physical limitations and want a practice tailored for their body. In a private lesson you will work on specific goals based on what you are wanting to achieve. A goal may be; to learn the alignment in foundational postures, make modifications for chronic pain or past injury or to deepen your practice.

The Mindful retreats are designed to give you the time and space to return to yourself again. We offer a few different retreats and they each have a special energy + intention behind them.
