At Mindful Yoga we create not only a safe space for you to come practice yoga but also to build a community. Mindful Yoga shows you all that yoga has to offer and how you can bring its teachings into your life outside of the studio.
Mindful Yoga was born October of 2017 and was brought to life by Heather McClelland and her husband Kevin. A vision of a space that could provide people with a place to find a community, while also finding themselves through the practice of yoga, was something Heather found herself constantly daydreaming about. After one chapter was coming to an end in her life, Heather found another one quickly beginning. One thing led to another and Mindful Yoga was born. The name was inspired by her own personal asana practice. Breaking down the literal meaning of vinyasa (a style Heather often practices and teaches) - to place in a special way - to be mindful in every small movement the body makes as you move through postures. Each movement is taken with care and intent. This is the story of how Mindful Yoga began, we are beyond grateful to share this practice with you.
Mindful Yoga offers a range of classes for all levels. We hold beginner level classes to advanced every week and create workshops for those looking to learn more on a specific topic.
